POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
In order to ensure the safety of your pets and our other guests, we require that all employees and guests adhere to the following Policies and Procedures:
Sign-In procedures - To better serve you, please do not bypass the front desk without signing-in. The front desk staff will verify your personal information; provide you with any forms and/or articles necessary for your visit; and inform pertinent staff of your arrival.
Please be advised, we do NOT allow dog(s) to enter the facility, at any time, for any reason, until all accurate and current vaccination information (outlined below) is received, reviewed and documented – this includes, but not limited to, tours.
Vaccination Policy - All canine guests must have hard copy proof (from a veterinarian) of up-to-date vaccinations and annual negative fecal tests in order to enter the Alpha K9 U premises, at any time, for any reason (including tours). Alpha K9 U requires Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus), Bordetella, and a negative fecal float. In addition, please allow a minimum of 48 hours after receiving vaccinations before entry. If the Bordetella vaccine has never been given, or has expired, it needs to be administered AT LEAST FOURTEEN (14) DAYS prior to arrival at Alpha K9 U, no exceptions! Puppies are required to have their second set of DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations, and are required to have their Rabies vaccination (at 16 weeks of age). Please note: We may accept titer tests provided that they are documented by your veterinarian and are updated annually. You or your veterinarian's office can easily fax records/documentation to: 317-284-1354.
Requesting Private Appointments - Private Appointments are different private activities (i.e., Swimming, Dock-Diving, and HydraCare, etc.) that you schedule that do not involve inviting other people or reserving staff resources. You may request an appointment by email, phone or fax and/or by stopping by the front office during office hours. For best results, schedule private appointments at least 24 hours in advance (don't wait until the last minute to schedule an appointment). You may also schedule recurring appointments. If you are unable to attend an appointment, please let us know ASAP. We require a cancellation notice of at least 24 hours in advance for most appointments. We appreciate your help in keeping our schedule running efficiently.
